The United States of America is a country in North America. Its capital city is Washington DC. The US typically ranks first in GDP. The official US position on UFOs is that it "has no evidence that any life exists outside our planet, or that an extraterrestrial presence has contacted or engaged any member of the human race. In addition, there is no credible information to suggest that any evidence is being hidden from the public’s eye," according to Phil Larson from the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy at[1] (See disinformation campaigns)

Alien situation[edit | edit source]

The alien situation in the United States might have begun with the alien abduction of fourteen airmen who were inflight in five Grumman TBF Avenger torpedo bombers and the abduction of their search and rescue team of thirteen airmen aboard a Martin Bomber in December 1945. The report was radioed in by a US merchant steamer, the SS. Gaines Mills.

Five "Avenger" torpedo bombers left from Naval Air Station Fort Lauderdale. Their last message was received on December 5th, 1945, at 7:50 PM, about 200 miles from Miami, due north-east. Both the "Avengers" and the Martin Bomber rescue team were never seen or heard from again. They vanished without a trace, leaving no signs of wreckage or oil.

The incident came along in a later report of mysterious disappearances of men and women between 1948 and 1952.[2]

UFO situation[edit | edit source]

The “mysterious disappearances between 1948 and 1952”[2] was an issue of concern for member states of the United Nations who were experiencing similar situations. One month later, after the “Avenger” bombers and their rescue team disappeared, the General Assembly of 51 nations represented, had met for the first time at Methodist Central Hall, Westminster, London. The United Nations Security Council adopted its rules of procedure on 17 January 1946. The General Assembly adopted its first resolution for peaceful uses of atomic energy and the elimination of atomic and other weapons of mass destruction.[3] This soon led to the establishment of the United States Atomic Energy Commission. The United Nations has been tackling the UFO problem ever since.

The UFO situation in the United States escalated with the recoveries of three UFO craft from New Mexico, USA between 1947 and 1948, as mentioned in the Guy Hottel memo. The recovery operations involved (1) securing UFO craft, its occupants, and materiels (2) “scrubbing” and incorporating protection of the Landing zones (LZs), and (3) drafting an assessment of the UFO situation for US Presidential briefings on UFO phenomena.

The USA is one of The Big Five in the United Nations. In the mid 1970s, the United Nations addressed the UFO phenomenon. The UN “adopted a resolution in 1978 asking all nations to pay close attention to the UFO problem.”[4] Since then, the US relied on private sector UFO groups, such as CUFOS, NICAP, and NIDS, until 2007 when the US government reorganized to AATIP.

Securing UFO materiels[edit | edit source]

The United States recovered nine (9) alien UFO craft[fn 1] between the years 1947 to 1957[5]—in a 10 year span. The first known UFO incident is the Roswell craft recoveries c. 2 July 1947 in New Mexico, USA.[fn 2] Subsequent craft recoveries soon followed, but at other Landing zones (LZs) without public knowledge.

Roswell situation[edit | edit source]

According to Majestic Twelve Project, 1st Annual Report (c. 1952) the UFO situation was considered to be one of the most dangerous phenomenon for the United States during the Cold War. “To misidentify a flight of [aerial] objects for Russian bombers, or to dismiss Russian bombers as phantoms, is the most idiotic approach to take. Even though governments may distrust each other, it is the responsibility and greed of the military and intelligence professional to prevent wanton death and destruction of his country.” It was advisable to maintain some direct communication with a hostile enemy before taking false assumptions for a response, if faulty data indicated such. Even using a “Flying Saucer” ruse to create fear and confusion among your enemies’ leaders could result in accidental war. Early analysis of the recovered planforms in 1947, led to the wrong assumption that the Russians were preparing a sneak attack on the American continent.[6]

Historic preservation[edit | edit source]

Bob Lazar Says UFO was an Archaeological Finding Joe Rogan

The UFO Landing zones (LZs)[fn 3] have been protected by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, a privately funded organization based in the Watergate complex in Washington, D.C. After the Roswell and Aztec UFO incidents, the National Trust was established on 26 October 1949. Further protection was enacted by the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 (NHPA) and the Archaeological Resources Protection Act of 1979[7] (ARPA), amended in 1988.[fn 4]

Assessing the UFO situation[edit | edit source]

The UFO situation that has unfolded in the United States, was also happening around the world since the 1940s, including in Russia.[ OM1989, p. 29] In 1992, at the Fourth National Congress, the chairman for the China UFO Society said, “The UFO phenomenon is a puzzle that has baffled mankind since the beginning of this century. Some people believe that UFOs are spaceships sent to the Earth by wise extraterrestrial beings.”[4]

As directed by President Harry S. Truman, each president of the United States is briefed on the US position on Unidentified Flying Objects at the beginning of their terms. The briefing program began with Operation Majestic 1952 to inform Dwight D. Eisenhower of UFO phenomena and the installment of Majestic 12. Documented briefings have been conducted at least up to President George H. W. Bush (See Operation Majestic 1989).

Administrations[edit | edit source]

Steven Greer was led to believe, by a “friend of the Clinton’s”[8] that Bill Clinton[9] had "tried unsuccessfully to investigate what the government was hiding regrading UFOs."[10]

When George Bush, Jr. was asked about UFOs, he remained evasive in his comments.[10]

President Barack Obama has said, "the aliens won't let [disclosure] happen. You'd reveal all their secrets, and they exercise strict control over us. I can't reveal anything."[10]

Under President Trump bearing so many distractions under his administration, the Majestic UFO program has excelled.

Notes[edit | edit source]

  1. Operation Majestic 1989 informed the US President, in 1989, of only seven (7) UFO craft. Bob Lazar maintains that there are nine (9) UFO craft in US possession, as indicated by the UFO flap of 1947 and possibly in conjunction with Council of Nine.
  2. As attested by Lazar, the UFO craft are highly advanced and have helped to inspire forward thinking[ OM1989, p. 12] to establish a solid space program by 1958—NASA.
  3. "LZ", acronym for "Landing Zone", is a correct term in regards to the UFO situation, which is used in three known Majestic documents: Operation Majestic 1952, 1960, and 1989.
  4. An issue may have come up in 1988, that has led Bob Lazar to attest to that connection between UFO craft recovery and archaeological finds.
